On Friday 19th of March St Bernadette's school held their school cross country. Everyone was very excited as they have been practising for weeks. Last year the cross country was cancelled due to COVID-!9 so it was good to be able to hold the event this year and celebrate with our friends and whanau. After lunch we all headed to our local park, Mr Matai and the students of Room 4 had set the course up for us and although we were nervous we were keen to get started. We all showed great determination and demonstrated the school C.E.R.R values of Compassion, Excellence, Respect and Responsibility! Some of us found it hard to go the 3km distance but having our friends cheer us on certainly helped! Have you had your cross country yet? Do you enjoy running?
