As part of our Matariki (Maori New Year) celebrations we made soup from the vegetables we harvested from the school garden. We shared the soup with our friends and whanau across the school. We thought it was very yummy and it was nice to eat the vegetables we had grown ourselves. We also made star shaped cookies and cakes to represent the stars of
Matariki that can be seen during this time of year. How do you do to celebrate New Year?
