Matariki

 We are learning about Matariki, we have read lots of books about Matariki and created some art work to show our learning. We learnt how to weave our own Matariki star using wool and card.  One of our favourite legends about Matariki was the Seven Kites of Matariki. We made our own kite the kite had patterns that represented our culutre and local area Hornby - Christchurch. We had fun flying our kites and taking them home to share with our family and whanau.
